When we started to focus on cabinet painting we didn’t realize how big the market would be for painting and re-staining handrails!

Now, it accounts for about a third of our work. We have a proprietary process of re-staining handrails where we prep the existing surface and apply gel-type custom stains (we mix our own) overtop of the existing finish followed by multiple clear topcoats. We encourage the original wood to shine through the translucent coloring for an authentic yet updated finish. If wood staining isn’t for you, we also offer paint services for handrails and newell posts. Most spindles we paint black or white.
